I'm broke anyway, but it's nice to dream. http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-OVATION-VIPER-III-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-W-CAS...

I need to update that since the Viper III has actually been sold to a very happy OFC camper. and Paul beat me to the punch....yes, it was actually Maple.

It looks identical to the grain in my natural ash Viper III and five other ash guitars in my humble stash. Maple usually tends to have a wider grain and is less pronounced and vivid than oak.

I still have my original ASAT that is very similar in sound. Ovation solids.... I still have my matching 6 string limited/12 string Deacon but I have sadly sold off the rest. They are really great guitars and I hated to part with them but other needs were calling.
