This thing is gorgeous. He has a black one too that's also in nice shape. Is the price a little steep for a guitar in this condition? or about right? I'm broke anyway, but it's nice to dream.

Indeed he does. Save yourself some $$ and deal with Stephen. He's got a beauty I almost took instead of the 1271 (which I'm very happy with!).
Listed in StephenT28's 'for sale' section in his gallery for $650 + shipping.

Although Stephen refers to this as Mahogany in his description, it is oak.

That is the most interesting maple I've ever seen! It looks identical to the grain in my natural ash Viper III and five other ash guitars in my humble stash. Maple usually tends to have a wider grain and is less pronounced and vivid than oak.

Didn't know you sold that one Stephen... or maybe I did, and lost the file... do you still have the other one?

'Legion' might be a bit strong... but you're welcome!

Nope, actually sold all the vipers.

I really wanted to keep one but the offer came in so off it went. I still have my original ASAT that is very similar in sound.

Ovation solids.... I still have my matching 6 string limited/12 string Deacon but I have sadly sold off the rest. They are really great guitars and I hated to part with them but other needs were calling.

I beg to differ on the wood in that body (Stephen's V3)...it is definately not maple. It's ash.

Miles may still have a Viper III for sale. I know there was at least one of them in his inventory he was selling at one time, as well as a bunch of Vipers.

GH1....didn't know you were looking for a '97 Parlor. I have a wide neck available for my usual premium price. ;)

t28:

well then -- how about that. Those 1-7/8 necks are just a bit too big for me. The 1-3/4 is just right, and the 1-11/16 works fine.

Besides, don't you have enough of my money already :)

Cheers!
