Any OFC members bidding on this? http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-Model-1618-Glen-Campbell-Acoustic-Guita... If so I won't, but I'm thinking about it if no one else is. Any thoughts and comments on the sound/playability of this model? I've never had the pleasure of trying one out.

I have it on my watch list and should it stay sounth of around $450 I will put in a last minute snipe to try and bring it in for rehab and love.

I have had the hots for these beasties for around 30 years and recently bought a beautiful 1118 from Tony Calman. As many people have said these 12 fret 12's are gorgeous to play.

Let me know if you wanted to run at it and I will steer clear as there are too many beautiful guitars so another will be along in just moments to distract me :-)

Stuart ... go for it. i'd have to convince mrs. g8r & that would be a hard sell as we just put in a bid on a new house. i just thought if no one else here had interest i'd give it a try since i'm jonesin' for a 12 to replace the low-end one i have now. but you're right, another one'll come along. good luck.

The price may be right, but look at the shipping!

Yeah, that's crazy. I would've asked if local pickup was an option, have a friend in Cali pick it up and ship it for the *real* shipping cost.

The rule of thumb around here is- if you want it, bid on it. If someone else wants it more, they will outbid you. Otherwise, the OFC will start price fixing honest sellers auctions.
