I'm pretty sure in reality this unit would spend more time in my living room than my trailer...

Hey Red-- I'm the jerk who put the first bid on this thing. Right now, I have four guitars.
(I let other folks use the Johnson, for those who "diss-ed" my $31 gittar)
If you want this, I won't bid aggin ya'...
Post if you decide otherwise. Okie-dokie?

I would be honored to have either of you adopt the critter. I just manage the kennel.

Hey Arthur,
I have my heart set on a big bowl with a solid top,if you want this one, I'll back off and buy Jason's. But if you prefer Jason's I'll stay on this one. I certainly hope in the process I haven't hurt anyone's feelings(Jason or Chris) I am sure you both put alot of time and heart into ressurecting these two beauties, and I for one genuinely appreciate it. Red-- I am conversing with Jason. You live in the Great White North. Whichever one is most convenient for you.
Either/or... You are still High Bid.
I haven't seen Jason's yet, but I expect pics soon.
Providing he didn't totally fall in Love with it tonight...
He took it out on a play-date.
I oughta get off the computer, and play the one(s) that I've got.

Probably good advice for all of us, Ed.
According to my auction listing, there are many, potential, snipers in the bushes. The auction close is early Sunday AM, so be vigilant.

OOPS! Sorry, Arthur- gotta get my approbations in order, I guess.
Anyrate, the market will decide this thing, one way or another. I'm like Jason- I just need to clear up some space for the next "BLG Special".

Well Arthur, I can't tell which way you are
leaning, by your posts, and as I've stated before I am after an American-made balladeer that makes the hair on your arms stand up when you play it. So unless you say different, I'll get up early Sunday morning and brave the snipers. I never seem to have much luck at it, but on the bright side it might work out well for Chris. Ed

I don't get up that early on Sunday...
But I have been known to stay-up all night watching SNL re-runs!

Ed,
Technically, an 1117 is a Legend, but it has that big-balls response deep-bowls are famous for. I think an old 1712 I had- "Dillinger" cuz of the bulletholes- registered the biggest 6-string sound of any "O" I've owned, so far.
Ol' Faithful, the 60's-neck,80's-body 1111, is a real close second, though.
That 1132 Matrix Reso I fabricated was real amazing, too. Too bad my slide technique sucks so badly.

OOps, I mistakenly assumed the balladeer and legend were one and the same. I thought the legend was a newer version of the balladeer. About 20 some years ago I used to jam with a friend who had an ovation I assumed was a balladeer, and i never forgot the distinct sound, and amazing volume that it produced.

Apparently, the 1117 is going to Virginia. Jason has something to offer, and I'm seriously considering an offering of my '82 Collector's for adoption. I'm not positive if it still has stereo capability, since I don't have a stereo Y-cable. There are several images in my gallery of the repairs. Say, $325.00, with OHSC, & free shipping?
Email if interested. No hurry. Also, advise me if I'm all wet on the price- high or low.
