I just got back from Musical Pallette in N. Richland Hills off Rufe Snow.

They have a blue Adamas II for sale. They were first asking $800. After looking at it, I talked them down to around $600. Basically they were asking me what I would pay for it.

After closer inspection it looks to be in fair shape. The body is intact without significant defects. The neck looks well worn and was slightly bowed (probably could be fixed with a truss rod adjustment). The fingerboard was coming up off the body (common to this age instrument) which may suggest a neck reset. It had electronics (Op24 or FET3), but was missing the main knob. I did not plug it in to see if the electronics worked. Overall it played well for it's current condition.

Any interest? I could pick it up if someone is interested. Having the cootie, Mellineum, and 2006 collectors, I'm not really in the market for a deep bowl Adamas II. Serial number was around 4800 I think. I was juggling my 1 year old at the time.

Thanks, Phil. I just knew someone out there wouldn't leave that line unpunched.

Dunno. Sounded like she didn't really know what to do with it. She didn't really want to invest the time or $ to repair it so was trying to sell it AS IS.

I would be interested in the Legend, but don't want a shallow bowl. I have an eye out for a good deal on a Legend in natural with a medium bowl.

Let me know if you want me to get the Adamas for you.

When hell freezes over and my wife decides to buy me a blue Adamas for Christmas, I'll have her call you. They seem to be available all the time, but as soon as I decide to take the plunge, they'll all go scarce.
