As some of you may recall, when I received it, it was in new shape except for three braces loose on the top. I sent it back to Ovation for a complete refurbish job, and just got it back, so it is as new to factory specs. It comes with the 9158 case, with all the hang tags and even smells new. I have committed to Ovation to repair the 1681 which they have now and which is going to be quite pricey, so I still have to pay for that one, hense, the sale of the UTE. The serial # is 21201. Also the neck has been polished to a very close to gloss finish. $1450.00 + shipping takes it as this is about what I have in it with the repair from Ovation and all the shipping. This guitar is a 10 and as everyone knows is a tone monster. Anyone interested, email me and I can send any pictures of it you want.

This is a great deal for anyone out there. The volume this shortnecked lightweight puts out is incredible.

Well, the other side of the coin is that I drive a friggin station wagon, I watch a 15 year old tube TV, my entire wardrobe consists of t's and polo's from trade show freebies, I don't drink (much), don't smoke, every movie I've ever seen has been on an airplane for free ... I have one vice - GAS. But in the grand scheme of things it could be a WHOLE lot worse. Dave

Probably the CC059 Nylon string. I'm waiting to see if my son wants it instead of the Elite he has. He might like the wider neck. If he doesn't want it I'll probably post here first and then go to the bay. Now I know why you passed on the 97 Collectors.

Your wife has a nice car, you have a nice house, and I'm betting you have more in mountain bikes than most have in guitars. A couple years ago when I had a neighbor who collected guitars, I could care less and he could care less about cars. I've changed focus, while some, like you, have stayed relatively consistent. If I spent as much money and time on guitars as I did on golf and had so little to show for it, I'd sell all the guitars. At least it doesn't cost me a bunch of money each time I play a guitar.
