I'm going to sell my '88 Ovation Thunderbolt TB-01, owned since new on ebay.de (as soon as I figure out how to do it). It's black with a subtle silver sparkle and is as new except for a small paint scuff at the end of the headstock. Location is Switzerland. Any comments on reasonable value will be welcome.

It's tough to avoid a scuff on those pointy headstocks. The T-bolts are also prone to the ubiquitous Ovation finish cracks, and the plastic inserts in the lightning bolt sound holes often crack. If your doesn't have any of those other issues and comes with the original case, it could bring a pretty good price. I'd guess a minimum of $500 and could go a lot higher. They are not so much rare as they are scarce. Owners seem to be holding on to them longer. Good luck!

Thanks for the comment. I've had the guitar around 18 years so I'll be happy if I get the equivalent of $500, which is about half of what I paid for it here new. It's a good axe and looks great but I'm into jazz now and it just doesn't have that sound...
Best, Dicty
