it's a fixer-upper, but would be a great one for the spa treatment if it stays low enough

Thanks Lanaki.

I definitely benefited from the auction ending midday (for North America anyway) on a Wednesday.

I was sweating those last few minutes.

I had a lot of headroom in my bid, but I'm glad I can spend that money at the mothership now.

Some day I might even play as good as you Lanaki, just give me another 20 or 30 years.

the booking agency i get my gig connections through just decided to increase my pay substantially retroactive to my last gig so i have a few extra bucks. i am bottom-feeding on a very rough GC 1627 in hopes of sending it directly from the seller to the mothership if i get it. witko's post about his 1627 re-issue talked me into it. darn him!

It's amazing the power that this forum has in influencing the form my G.A.S. takes.

A few years ago I had no Idea what a Folklore (Deluxe), Pacemaker, 1537, Adamas #47 were. With the discussions and reviews here, I can (hopefully) make more intelligent decisions.

Don't try to bring intelligence into this, Grif. Nice grab, but on a purely emotional level. I didn't even know that Ovation made more than a couple of models until I found this board. The best part about the OFC, however, is that it helped get me interested in playing guitar again. Then I see something like Lanaki's video and I get frustrated.

The 1537 has landed at the Mothership this morning.

I'll keep you posted on the spa treatment.
