Hello all,

I just received an 89' Collector's and remembered why I'm not too keen on shallow bowls. (Read that as middle-age spread. :p ) So I'm offering it here before it goes up on eBay.

All of you know the specs, and the condition is good for a twenty year-old guitar. There is a ding in the lower bout and a couple of small finish cracks right next to the neck. There is also a small, nearly invisible crack in the rosette near the neck. The bowl shows a little scuffing as well. The only other negative is more preference than problem: The action is set a little high for my taste, but the guitar is in no way difficult to play.

Now for the good parts! :D The neck is nice and straight with good intonation all the way up. The tone is surprisingly full for a SSB. (Even my wife, the concert bassist/cellist likes the acoustic sound from this one. And she's far more particular about such things than I'll ever be. :) ) Structurally, it seems perfectly sound. The top is nice and flat with no "bridge bubble." The bridge looks flush and solid. It hold its tune just fine. Honestly folks, other than the cosmetic stuff mentioned above, I can't find any problems with this one, and a good cleaning will make it look even better! :D

So now to the nitty-gritty. I don't have a case for it. I tried to get one locally, but I have to admit that the dealer in this area is pretty lame and had none in stock. So how does $590 shipped with insurance sound? (Outside the US, check about shipping first. I'm still trying to wrap my head around our new postal rates. )

BTW, I tried to take some pictures, but the lighting tonight stinks. I'll get some tomorrow and post them ASAP. As always, ask any questions you like. I hope to be talking to some of you soon. :D

Good morning everyone! Here are the promised pictures. A couple of notes in the interests of honesty. I reduced the brightness a little to try and bring out details like the finish cracks on some of the close-ups. Also, that mark just above the nut is NOT a finish crack, it's a reflection of my camera lens. Let me know what you all think.
