A few of these were made after the 97 collectors were done.

I've not heard many good things about this model.

The sunburst finish is nice though.

So, it's a $1500 campfire guitar?

Mike,

What have you heard? I was keeping my eye on this one because I love my '97 Collectors so much. I thought it might be worth having a longer neck with the same basic features.

One of the real benefits of the 97C is the bridge placement. I'd be interested to hear how moving the bridge north possibly alters that sound. Dave

probably higher pitched and less bass.
The sunburst looks funny with a natural neck but they did do them that way.

I've heard it sounds rather thin with the 14 fret neck.

The sunburst finish is nice though.

I always looked at that little parlor guitar and thought it looked, well, weird. I'm guessing that there were some bodies left over from the 97 C run...

I always liked the way they looked, but i like the Ovation headstock better than most other guitars. Don`t know about the sound.
