Location: NJ | I am doing another run of 12 koa guitars. The same specs as the 12 fret but only this time 14 fret guitars. I heard the cry of many of you that wanted the extra 2 frets and decided to go for it. they will be limited to 12 and if you have a particular number you want let me know. All the warmth of a koa top, the bling of this highly figured wood, the prototype soundhole and the extra 2 frets. How can you go wrong?
Because of a customer request I found out that I can also do this 14 fret (and I assume 12 fret but I am not positive) in a 12 string version. If interested I would order these as a one off. Just send me an e mail with any interest.
thanks

As others have posted, and I can agree 100% the original batch of 12 fretters are amazing. I'm seriously enjoying mine. I can get it that some folks want 14 frets and it's really cool that you are able and willing to do this. See, you're really not the grumpy old man you sometimes come across as (yeah, I know, you're younger than me). 24 koa Alpep blow holes. That's amazing.
And a koa blow hole 12-string ??? Many oh man, I'm getting light headed as blood flow is diverted to my lower torso. Holy freaking wow.
NICE WORK, COWBOY !!!

Now I have to hope there is enough left to make me a 12-fret 12-string.
thank you Al! |

Location: Elk Grove, California | I am speechless! I have been gone for a while and missed all the braugh-ha-ha about the first 12! Great god, those are beautiful! I sorely wish I have a few grand to buy one of the 14 fret models. I have a lovely CS347 Koa that is nice but, well, it is nothing compared to those Ovations you are making! If there are guitar playing angels up in heaven--they would be playing one of these! Amazing that Koa, instead of spruce, on a top can sound so softly sweet without plugging in!
Keep up the awesome work. |
