Joined: February 2002 Posts: 1817 Location: Minden, Nebraska | Legends from that general time period had painted necks, which would cover the stripes. The case isn't really an issue, though this case isn't an original (as pointed out above). The preamp and label go together, and it looks like an ebony board, which is also consistent with the Legends from the late 80's. The overall appearance, including the Sunburst finish, looks just like the #1767-1 in my 1991 catalog, -1 being 'Sunburst'. | ||

Joined: July 2002 Posts: 1900 | Autumnburst, Tobaccoburst, Sunburst...I think Autumnburst is closest, as it looks too lite for sunburst and 'too orange' for tobaccoburst.. Anyway, I heard from the seller, he is going to try and get a pic of the back of the neck. I'm not familiar with the original '88 factory cases. This one looks a deep bowl 12-string case to me.. | ||

It was a beauty...Legends are nice guitars and a rare color to boot. Nom-original case but he didn't claim it was the original case. No harm intended! ;) | ||

1767 Legend
