but not quite, a clone.
That must be the new "super-super shallow bowl."

So would that be a super-duper ultra-shallow bowl?

What a weird animal.

Shows how much you guys know. It says that FREEMAN is the Chilean version of Ovation. So it's gotta be awesome.

I think the body looks more like the chambered mahogany type used on the Vipers. The photo isn't very clear, but I'd swear the electronic control panel also closely resembles the type used on the Vipers. Although the seller claims that it is made in Chile, is it possible that it is a Chinese knock-off of the Viper being marketed outside the U.S.?

I actually emailed the 1 bidder and informed him that it was NOT an Ovation. I really hate to see people get ripped off.

I doubt Kaman would consider it worth the expense...
Strange that it has the old-style truss rod cover but the new style treble-side epaulets...

The total shipping weight is 11 lbs.!!! That's including packing material.
The entire guitar must be made of styrofoam!

It sold for $167...
I wonder if the mass production costs were maybe ten bucks a piece?...

The buyer apparently joined eBay for the first time just to get this 'great' deal. Oh, well - another person out there telling everyone they know that "Ovations" are crap :(
