I've always lusted after these. I love the sound they put out. Even love the sound of the lowly Guitar Center Baladeer Special.

So I have this 6778LX NEB that I love to look at but I'm not very impressed with the sound. Maybe if I sent it in for a Cedar top with maybe a deep cutaway or a contour bowl. Bass soundholes only...don't know what wood for eppaulets. Not sure what to use for top binding. How does all this sound???

Ambivalent, albeit curious. I will be constructing a cedar-top pretty soon, probably recycling a deep-bowl, & Matrix neck.

I love my 1868-4C (1993), so I had to grab a GC S771-4C.

I love my 1768C also. I have a good friend that swears it sounds better to him than my 1581 Adamas(I don't agree that it sounds better, just different)or the 1537 I USED to have. There IS something about those cedar tops. I guess that's why they used them so much for classicals.

Randy, what is the 1868-4C? Is that a non-cutaway?
