Now if the legends from the last get together are true we need to sit you down and get you to sing them all. Originally posted by Captain_Lovehandles: Huh?? Okay, maybe one or two bars... One rum and coke don't get a whole Tony Orlando song outta me! Uhhh ....did it??? Beggin... that WAS just rum and coke in that glass, right?? Oh geez... It's twue, it's twue! He actually did sing Tony Orlando & Dawn. Anyways, I sure am happy that some folks are digging the cheat sheets. My distinct and absolute pleasure, really! Makes me all warm and fuzzy knowing that I may have helped get some guitars off the stands and into the hands tonight. Jas, thanks for the PDF version and the distribution efforts. That book cover is TOO MUCH! :D LOL :D You really are a creative madman. Can't wait to see what kind of Monster compilation we have when Crimsom gets through! Otto .

Maybe not where your head is at in a therapy type of way, but we know where you are musicly. We know you like Dr. Hook, Croce & Donovan.And.... Uriah Heep!?!? (nice)"I Think We're Alone Now"... I see you are not afraid to go where the music takes you. My duo partner had to be dragged kicking and screaming into "Mrs Brown", now it's one of his favorites. He has drawn hard line at "There's A Kind Of Hush". He'll do it with me as long as it's the original Herman's Hermit version and not that sappy Carpenters cover. :)

The fun thing about lists like this is when "Wildwood Weed" is immediately followed by "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". :D Half the fun is the challenge of "can I pull this off". Brian & I finally made "Won't Get Fooled Again" sound good. I hope I get to hear Otto's version someday."Love Hurts"... that sounds like a difficult one to handle. "Let's Get Together", Canned Heat... very nice!! We'll follow it up with "Goin' Up the Country". Before I end this epic post let me do a little thread housekeeping. It started out as an offer from me to send out my "Slipkid's Trinket" disc to those who do not already have one. It has all my song sheets on it tho it's not nearly as neat, organized and tidy as Otto's.The collection that Crimson and Lovehandles Jim are working on may or may not have my songs sheets. Ya know... I've been making hard copys of the CD and sending them all over the world. Maybe I should post it where Jim posted Ottos. The Trinket is about 400mb. Anyone know where I can post it so folks can just download it?

I've been doing a little looking into someplace to post the stuff, but haven't found anyplace suitable (or free) yet. On Comcast, where my account is, you can only upload six files at a time and so far I haven't been able to figure out how to make them downloadable to the public.

Joined: August 2006 Posts: 3145 Location: Marlton, NJ | To me, the goal would be to have everything in one format, either individually downloadable, or downloadable as a bulk file as the Capt. has done with Otto's songbook. The individual files aren't that big, but there's ALOT of them. Maybe the CD idea was a little ambitious - but with a little time could be done. My idea for that was to have it all in PDF format on a CD, with all of the songs linked to the TOC and indexed. The PDF part is pretty easy, linking the songs takes time, but is not horrible and burning the CDs obviously takes some time. I am still committed to the CD, but just need to find the time to do it.
