Joined: December 2005 Posts: 117 | I used to play pretty much just acoustic (my beautiful ovation) with no amplification, but I am starting a band with a friend so I think it's time to upgrade from my old 15 watt peavy practice amp that I bought with my first guitar way back when. I doubt we'll be playing shows any time soon although he has some connections and I have a few, but I am looking for a decent combo amp or something to play my Ovation Elite T and my Hamer Standard on. Anyone looking to get rid of something or have any recommendations?

Joined: December 2005 Posts: 117 | Like under 400? Maybe under 300? I live in Brookfield, Wisconsin. I was looking at http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/msg/532646467.html maybe, but I've read mixed reviews. Some say it's great and some say they've had problems with reliability. But if that guy has owned it for a while it must be decently reliable, right?

For the price, the Genz Shenendoah Jr. would serve the needs of 99% of home musicians, and it also works in small venues. Priced new from Al, if there are any left, it comes in below your price range. There is a tendency to buy way more amp than we ever need. I am a great example of this. I have a bunch of amps and the one I use the most is actually the smallest, most portable unit in the stable.
