I use string swings, except for 3 Hercules that I needed to hang 3 guitars in a small space. They all get the same humidity and are out of the way, but ready to play.
After helping damon load and unload his 16 guitars this weekend and onto stands, I've had enough of opening cases for awhile. It's nice to have them ready and wall hangers are safer than stands.

Bandroom? Did somebody say they wanted to build a bandroom and need advice? As bandrooms go, mine is somewhat over the top. I have tried a lot of different hangers, fabricated some for ceiling mounts, angled mounts for the sloping wall above the fireplace, threaded mounts on a round rack support, and at least one swing arm. Walls are pretty straight forward and I prefer a steel-backed mount that maximizes the size of the contact surface between the mount and the wall, preferably with screws that line up vertically. Once you run out of room for straight forward applications, a little creativity is required.

Nice to use a hanger. Whenever you walk past you'll say " I think I'll play a song". A stand on the floor not an option with kids under 3yrs. Where I live, humidity is always high!

When you only own two or three guitars, it's easy enough to open a case and play them. Although I admit I would like to hang my for easy access and the great artwork they are. I may, but humidity (actually lack of) is an issue here in Eastern Oregon, so it's just easier to humidify them in the case.
