The pictures tell the parts of the story you don't know already. I bought this one new a year ago, and there isn't a mark on it. It also comes with the deluxe form-fitted case, not the after-market one you see so often. The pre-amp works fine, and the action is set nice and low. There are no issues with this one at all. I'm asking $350 shipped to the lower 48 states. I'll consider shipping internationally, but it's gotten pricey nowadays, so check for a quote first. This has been a fantastic mandolin to learn on. (Not that I don't still have a lot to learn.) So let me know what you think. I'm going to put this on eBay as well, since I have to move it quickly to help pay for the MM-68. I admit that I hope someone here takes it first though. ;) ![]()

Also I want that case you've got I have an Applause mandolin gig bag. Great padded bag but I am a hard case man myself. So far I only use this mandolin for one song. Paul McCarteny's Dance Tonight, it is the only thing I have learned on it. was actually going to see (if the celebrities were not too bad) about a trade/cash, I don't need this great of an instrument for one song. I haven't gotten to play both instruments side-by-side, though I have played them separately. It seemed to me that the Celebs are definitely worth what they cost, so I have never had any complaints with mine at all. But all of the differences that exist between Celeb guitars and the USA-made Ovations exist in the mandolin line as well. I have an MM-68 myself. Randy The two biggest differences are the acoustic sound and the comfort of the neck. The solid spruce top of the MM-68 has a sweeter, more broken-in sound to my amateur ear than the Celeb's laminated top. Even so, the acoustic sound of the Celeb mando is still very sweet and cuts through my church choir without effort (2 guitars, electric bass, piano, flute, and drums). :D We typically don't plug in for practice, so I've got a good idea of the punch she carries acoustically. The neck just felt more comfortable to me on the MM-68 as well. However, the Celeb neck is hardly a finger-breaker. The action is set pretty low, and I've never had any trouble anywhere on the fretboard of this one. She plays just fine. :D Plugged in? Admittedly, I've only plugged in with the other instruments in my choir, but I honestly could not tell the difference. Regarding the case, I should have mentioned in the original post: I bought the mando with an after-market hardshell case originally. (You see them on eBay occasionally; grey interior, but not form-fitting.) It was a decent enough case, but I bought a used deluxe case within a month of the purchase. It was a huge leap quality-wise. It's extremely solid and fits like a glove. In the end, I don't think they make a better mando for the money. Especially when you can plug it in with a pre-amp of this quality.
