Heart attacks and strokes...I'm hoping he'll get what he's asking for them; maybe he could be facing a pile of medical bills. (To be fair, there have been a couple of Ovations that struck me as pretty ugly, too.....)

I did not mean to diminish the sellers health issues. I have for the most of my life been in good health. For that I am blessed.
It is just the fact that as I have gotten older a lot of bling on a guitar really turns me off.
If a little is good, having a lot doesn't make them better.
BTW; The Ovation with the portraits on the bowl was,(IMHO), bad. |

It probably sounded more harsh than the tone I was thinking it in; I was just picturing how I badly I would feel saying "Good-bye" to Gertrude, or Jewel, or Jazzey, or any other of my axes. :( (Just ask Robbie--I'd get all choked up when he'd sell one of his that I'd really grown attached to, and it wasn't even my guitar in the first place.)

No problem. I'm like that to. I buy a guitar and keep it.
My Buddy "Trader Jim" doesn't keep them long enough. I am running out of room and may have to resort to the "One In,One Out rule". :( Although when I mentioned to my wife that I should sell my Celebrity Nylon string she gave me "The Look". |
