It's up for sale now. I should learn about 12 strings. I just don't deserve to have one.

BTW guys, try to keep up....

To me, a 12 is so much simpler than a 6, because all I can do on a 12 is strum. Strum the chords. What's to learn?

Nothing to learn about playing it, just have to learn that I don't use a 12 string enough to warrant keeping one. I have learned to fingerpick on one a little, but I'm trying to concentrate on getting maybe 3 or 4 really nice 6 strings that I want to keep. (no snickering out there.)

I figure everyone needs a 12 string. I had an Applause that I never used for 10 years. Then I had the chance to upgrade to my Balladeer cheap, so I sold the Applause. The Balladeer is still in brand new condition, probably because none of the owners ever used it. It's available if I need it, though. Nice thing is that when I get it down every couple months it's still in tune. I hate tuning 12 strings.

Why is a slothead any more difficult to tune than a paddle head?

Dave, I think they meant re-stringing, but even at that, I never had a problem with re-stringing a 12 slot. Just put it in a herc stand, grab a winder, and have at it.
