Joined: April 2008 Posts: 8 Location: florida | Hi all. I have a melissa etheridge signature 12 string i'm giving up. It was one of those "i have to have it for a collection" but honestly i have rarely played it and decided it is time to part with it. i have it on ebay. the link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=170211136154&Cat... It is in brand new condition and comes with the original hard case. the only thing i can see wrong with it is that it has to be tuned :) It's breaking my heart, but i know that it will go to a good home where it will be loved. Thanks :) happy playing!

Hi, not that I'm interested in this one and am currently downsizing... but we love pictures here, is the photo in the listing a stock manufacturers photo? or is it a photo of the actual guitar? these are very nice 12 strings and have a sweet voice. also realize that as a new member, both here and on e-bay with zero feedback, it might be rather difficult to sell at that price. unless you are willing to have someone come over and physically see the instrument. there are several, actually many members here who live in FL, including myself.. and the 12 string Adamas models have no equal in their price range. Good Luck with your sale! Glenn

Also, i live in the daytona area so if anyone is interested and is in the general area i'd be more than happy to drive to them to show them the guitar :) again, glen, i appreciate the feedback!

Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | I'm not the price police,(at least not today) the best way is to search the model # on completed auctions on e-bay, and also on current offerings listed as well, this will give you a ballpark on it's current resale value. guitarcenter.com also has a used section where you can search for the model as well, and see what they are asking... check those out, and set a reserve on the guitar you can live with, and let it go from there.. if you have a BIN, that is fine, but with the reserve lower than your BIN it can sometimes work out more to your advantage, if someone hits the reserve and turns into a bidding war. I think the current retail on these models from a reputable dealer is just a little more than you are currently asking for a New guitar with full lifetime warranty, unfortunately the warranties are not transferable, and only apply to the original owner/purchaser. if you're not able to sell on e-bay at your current price, and are able to hold on to it for a while, it helps to build a feedback rating of at least 10+... on high ticket items such as this it's usually pretty hard to sell as a new e-bay participant. again, good luck with it.. and stick around, we have fun here! most of the time! You need to have real photos and start with a low opening bid. If you are concerned about making a certain amount of money, then set a reserve price. but starting with stock photos, high opening bid, and zero feedback is not a formula for success.

Promptly answer email questions and even give them your phone number (in private of course) to ask additional questions or offer to call them if they provide a phone number. The zero feedback is tough...specially with all the scam artists...that one will just take time. Good luck.
