Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | In light of the current rage about lighter being better for us amp-hauling geezers, maybe some of the younger studs would prefer to go the other direction, where bigger is better, and the biggest is best. How 'bout starting with a pair of 22" 800 pound jackhammers that put out 24,000 watts, then add another 26 "tweeters" so we don't lose the treble? Would they hear us in the coffee house gig at 136+ decibels? With such a strong bottom, we might need to roll off some of the low eq on the Optima.

Location: NJ | We used t'do this show down in AtlanticCity, and one of the functions was a car audio competition where the they would measure the decibel level inside of a closed car (with nobody in it).
A lot of the cars would use bolts and/or hasps to keep the doors closed as they were known to blow open.
Blown windows were a common occurrance . . . . |

| Guitar collectors may be a little eccentric, but those guys are the living definition of that wonderful anglo-saxonism, wankers. |

Location: North Carolina | Interesting vid, but the original thesis holds: We really don't need all that weight/audio firepower we've been lugging around all these years.
The audio geeks talk about headroom. I figure if my channels are on 5, the master is on 2 and the manager STILL wants it turned down, I've got all the headroom I need. |
