(Gotta pay for that UTE I just got.) It’s a Deep Bowl topped with solid Sitka Spruce with Ovation fan bracing. It’s got 12 frets to the body with a 25 ¼” scale and slotted headstock. The tuners are Deluxe Chrome with pearloid buttons. The nutwidth is a meaty but comfy 1 7/8”. The fretboard is ebony with pearl inlays and the bridge is reinforced walnut (Just tune it to pitch and don’t worry about it.). The serial number is 237957, which makes its build year 1981. I just put new D’Addario lights on it, and this thing positively sings! The neck is straight and the intonation is right on. The action is presently a comfortable medium-low with one shim left if you want drop it even further. Other than an area of pick scratching (look closely in the pictures), the top finish is nearly flawless. On the back of the neck near the headstock is what looks like a Ring-wearer’s scratch. The bridge had some slight scratching on it, so I touched it up a little and it looks great! And finally, this thing was from Arizona, so I think it could use some hydration. The top has recessed a little between the bridge and soundhole right about where the pick-scratching is. So as an incentive, I will add a Planet Waves soundhole humidifier to this deal. Otherwise folks, this thing is impressively clean, and sounds fantastic! I should also add that there is NO noticeable fret-wear on this thing. Can you believe that?! I’ve been wondering about these for years because they have such a stellar reputation for sound and durability. And this one lives up to everything I’ve heard. It comes with it’s original hard-shell case. The case shows some wear on the outside, but it has the cleanest inside I’ve ever seen on a case this old. I’m asking $650 shipped CONUS. International folks can check with me about shipping first. Let me know what you think everyone. This one is really lovely (even nicer than the last one I had) and getting harder to find every day. ![]()

Not to mention the hassle? I admit, I didn't think this would last 2 days, much less this long. Doesn't seem to be much interest either. I know the market's out of whack, but I thought I priced this one low enough to stay under it. Oh well.

I'd much rather make someone a good deal here than get sacked and pillaged over there. No one here wants to make an offer? You might be pleasantly surprised. ;) Gway! Where are you? :)

He called last night, and I let him have it at a cut rate. I've said it before, I would MUCH rather give an OFC'er a good deal than pay eBay, even if I lose a little by doing so. Enjoy it Murph! It really sings!

For anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of dealing with Patch, he really goes the extra mile, and is always trustworthy. After my first transaction with him, I have no second thoughts about getting exactly what I'm buying and more so. I'll keep you updated when it gets here
