Joined: September 2008 Posts: 55 Location: Columbus, Ohio | I’ve decided to sell my 1998 Adamas 1597 in graphite to help fund the purchase of an Adamas 2080. Here is the story of this Adamas. I purchased about 5-6 months ago from a local woman who was the original owner. She said she only played it a handful of times and it showed. Other than that it was in the case for quite some time until she put it on Craigslist. There is very, very minimal fretware on the cowboy chords. There are two small scratches on the top…not from me. One is about 1/4” and the other about 1/8”-3/16” in length, both about the width of a head on a needle. They are barely noticeable unless it’s held a certain way. The gold tuners still look new and not worn. The guitar is in excellent shape for being 10 years old. I’m sure most of you are familiar with this Adamas model and this one does have the Optima Preamp with 1/4" and XLR. It plays like a dream and I’m really having a hard time selling it and wouldn’t if I could afford to have both. The 2080 has some pretty big expectations to live up to. I know that these guitars have a quite large price range and I feel as though this is a great example of a 1998 Adamas 1597 in almost new condition with OHSC, therefore I think $1000.00 +shipping is a fair price to the US 48. The fretboard will be cleaned and new acoustic .10’s install before shipping. If anyone has any questions at all or would like to see pictures other than what is listed let me know and I’ll get them to you. NOTE: Original gold tuners will be put back on. The current tuners did not require any mods and no holes. Once the original ones are put back on you will see no trace that these where ever installed.

Since the d-tuners are a 4:1 ratio a fine tuner helps out quite a bit for tweaking. I played Adrian's guitar and decided that I should buy some....I should say he talked me into it. They will give you sticker shock at around $200/pair...need 3 pairs, but they are bullet proof and have a lifetime warranty. Actually going to go see Adrian this saturday...can't wait.

I've been looking to pass the Deacon to my son, but he doesn't stop to plug in and he and my daughter both prefer acoustic. I've had the Deacon since the early 80's and although its not pristine, it's all original and in very nice condition. How close can I get to this guit with the proceeds from a clean but not perfect Natural Mahogany Deacon? Opinions??

I'd like to have this taken care of so I could just pick it up at the guitar show and wouldn't have to worry about shipping. I just cleaned the fretboard and..well the whole freking thing got the works done yesterday with new strings. If you put some foam pieces in the lower eppies reall brings out he lows, even with .9's. It's cool to mess around with the tone that way. Hope everyone had a merry christmas....I know some of you did.

Probably the best features of the guitars listed that you were interested in. It's gonna be a killer and I am still seriously considering it.
