Thought I'd give y'all a chance at this before it goes on Ebay tomorrow at 22:00 GMT.

Up for grabs is my beloved Ovation 1984 Collectors guitar from my personal collection!

For those not acquainted with the Ovation Collectors series; each year since 1982 Ovation made a limited number collectors guitars with specific ground breaking features, unique woods and configurations. These guitars were and still are truly collectible instruments. Made lovingly at the Ovation mothership in Hartford, CT, USA!

This one is in very good condition, no cracks or faults and has a lovely deep nutmeg colour. It has a super shallow bowl and low action (like most Ovations) so is a dream to play acoustically or plugged in. The perfect sofa guitar, so comfortable! The ’84 Collectors is widely acknowledged to be the loudest super shallow bowl Ovation they ever made, bar none.

The only thing to note is that at some point in its 25 history someone mounted a pickup on the top. This has been removed and professionally repaired. There are two tiny spots if you look close enough where the pickup was mounted (just above the bridge) but it doesn’t detract from the tone and playability in any way, it really is a minor issue.

Guitar is in a very good shape, a few really minor very light scratches on the top that could probably easily be polished out if it really bothered you, as I say they are very minor and quite usual for any guitar, especially one that’s 25 years old. There is a slightly more pronounced scratch on the lower bout but it's pretty superficial. The neck is straight with (get this) almost no fret wear. The epaulettes actually include some well-figured birds-eye maple. And it plays just fine from headstock to body.

Own a piece of history, this guitar will outlast you! The only reason I’m selling is because I really have TOO many Ovations and need to thin the herd. I’ll be sad to see it go but it really does need to be played and loved. Comes with an Ovation hard shell case.

I’ll ship to anywhere, if outside the UK please ask for a quote first as the international shipping cost is just an estimate. Only serious bidders please. Reserve is set at £400 which is very reasonable, I really do want this to go to a good home. This is one of the finest examples of this rare, limited collectors guitar that you are likely to find. Any questions please ask.

Dweez got this guitar from me, and I wouldn't mind having it back. (No money though, bet no one's heard that one before. )

Anyway, it's everything the ad says it is, and it really is difficult to find one in this kind of shape. Trust me, you'll be happy when this one shows up at your door.
