Location: Texas | There are a few (scavenged?) Ovation pre-amps floating around E-Bay. If someone were to pick one up and try to update an acoustic-only O, I guess you'd need to get hold of a can elsewhere, right? (and make sure that the pickup was included with the pre-amp.)(yes, I know there would be bowl-cutting involved.)
I guess that would also be true if you wanted to add the new iDea pre-amp to a currently non-electric O, you'd need the can AND a pickup for that surgery?
Are new cans and pickups available for purchase somewhere, or do you need to scour Ebay for scavenged parts?
I have no immediate need, but I have to keep all options for expansion/enhancement of the "family" open; that's article 7a of the OFC member agreement, I believe… ;) |

Put it up for whatever you pay for the Studio.
You figure that the VIP is at least $250 new. (I'm guessing  )
And even though some people around here might not like the VIP, someone will want it (you'd think). |
