Location: Corning, NY | I think he just grabbed the description from Ovation's site and didn't make sure he had the right one. I can't tell you how many guitars I see listed with "maple or rosewood fretboard." |

Location: CA | What afortune said. Last time I looked at my 1778T it had a maple neck, not "two piece mahogany."
I'm also guessing you'll, ahem, 'take a bath' on the shipping on this one, if indeed he'll ship at all. Where is Bath, anyway? Maine? |

| Finally heard from the owner...........the serial number is 572126 which makes it a 2003 model. According to the owner he traded a motorcycle for the guitar and did not play it too much. Got some close up pics. sent to me. It is a greyish/pewter look to it. He told me he would take $400 plus shipping. Of course it is US made. Black machines on this guitar as well. I have my eye on a 6778 in black for $445 plus shipping. I am still looking to this before I consider any others. Thought I would pass this information along for any prospective buyer. The guy seems honest and straight forward. |
