I just sold a Martin, so I have a little GAS-Cash in my hands and I want to buy my girl friend an Ovation. I don't have a lot of money to spend ($400-$500, with maybe something in trade), so my choices will probably be somewhat limited. I thought about a new Celebrity but now I'm thinking that I could get more for my money by finding another model, used.

I would like a little bling 'cause my sweetie's so damned cute ;) , but the integrity of the instrument is the most important. I love the looks of a Custom Legend, but they are probably beyond my budget.

Any offerings, or suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks Woody, looking for a six-string though (with steel strings). Now if it were for me, I would be interested in your Country Artist, nice guitar!! I have the time, I'm sure something will come along. Thanks again!

Hi Gulfcoast,

I couldn't find this model in the archive section on Ovation's web site, can you describe it, do you have photos? Thanks!

Hi Keith,

Is this the black model, or natural, do you have photos?

Thanks!

This is a GREAT GAS thread!

But that another guitar would still be Great!

Ray, I like the way you think. You should definitely be able to find a great used USA Ovation. That's the way to go.

Good Luck.

I don't want to throw cold water on the deal with Keith, but be advised... he is a drummer. ;)

You're a guitar player stuck in a drummers body.
