This will work as a great little acoustic amp and gives true sound reproduction with no effects, reverb, gain, none of that stuff. If you need effects you gotta supply your own pedals. It does sound good 'straight' with my 07C's VIP. This thing has a 8" Speaker and a 2" Tweeter, and an air hole. Plus a lead/acid battery built-in. This is the kind of battery that they use in emergency lighting systems. You can run iPods and CD players through it with the right cables. Great for picnics and such... I got it for 'busking' and never used it. It has just been sitting around getting dusty... So it's on the block. evilBay listing... with more photos and description. ![]() ![]() ![]() As it sez in the listing, this comes with a mic and XLR cable and AC adapter and a nifty bag. I am letting this go cuz I got myself a Cube 'Street' :p ![]()

I just ordered one myself, I found a superdeal on ebay ($179.00 with free UPS-Ground shipping). Funny, I have a friend who owns a music store and he told me that something was wrong with that price and he warned me that I would probably get burned, he even went as far as calling his Roland Sales Rep and he was told that Roland doesn't have any dealers on ebay and that it was probably a stolen amp at that price. The dealer looked legit to me and he has a good feedback record, a physical store, a complete staff and a toll-free number. Guess I'll find out, just got the UPS tracking number. If I want to push one of my friend's buttons, all I have to do is mention "ebay" :)

For your Ovation it has the straight 'Instrument' setting, plus JC Clean, Acoustic Sim, and the Mic setting. The three EQ knobs are like little Volume knobs. They don't really act like the EQ sliders with +/-... But it is a nice little amp. I ain't sure about it running for 15 hours on batteries at a usable volume. The seller did have a return policy in case you don't like it don't they? [I paid $199 for mine, but I have 45 day to decide I don't like it... Plus MF pays return shipping] But it is an alright little amp. I'm sure there are better acoustic amps, but they don't run on batteries.

And they claim to be a Roland Factory Authorized Dealer so I don't know what's up with my friend, except that he hates ebay and everytime I mention the word, it throws him into a tizzy. This company couldn't stay in business if they were as bad as my friend wants me to believe and to accuse them of selling stolen merchandise is just wrong! I think it's a case of sour grapes. MF wants $295 for it now, are we talking about the same model?
