I was watching this one one ebay. I emailed the guy to get better pics of the dings and it took him 4-5 days to reply asking for my email to send them. I replied right back (I had already put my email in my original question) but got no response before the auction ended. Perhaps you could contact him and ask him to put it on a "buy it now". I would not do it without photos though as he never sent them to me and he has only sold one item.

There's a mint ("I bought this guitar new in 1998 and has barely been used") 1763 for sale in the UK...

Ebay

...but shipping wouldn't be cost effect for you.

It's £500 and VERY tempting!



That seems to be able the market rate for a mint one as one just sold in the US for $860 (£520)
