I'm trying to learn as fast as I can, and I know that scalloped bracing is better, but I'm not sure why and/or what other kind of bracing there is! Was that the standard in the 70's?

(Thanx to Ovation Tribute) VT-11 bracing and A-Bracing... Most people espouse the virtues of A-Bracing, but I owned two Artists with VT bracing that sounded just fine. Many 1117's have A-Bracing. I had a S771 with A-Bracing that sounded nice also.

I had a S771 with A-Bracing that sounded nice also. the concaving/waviness of the top matches the lines on the bracing on the A-Braced top... it is slowly straightening out bit by bit, keeping it in the case with a dampener/humidifier and a cover over the sound port/rosette... but as I said before I am trying to get it to flatten back out without any finish cracking... by the way and back on topic... YOU STOLE IT FOR 249!!! Great get. Glenn
