I'm ready with cleaning and I've strung it, the truss rod adjusted and now its plays and sounds great. I love the wider neck of it and I think, it will be my favorite one. I hope, you'll snagg one too. Bernie

I was in Italy 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks, having some holyday near Florance. The weather was fine the Chianti tastes very well and the Toscana is very nice. I like Italy very much. Best wishes to Italy Bernie

Check out Piombino in the map of Tuscany. I'm glad you're enjoying your Folklore. Sadly (from my point of you) there were many Folklore available on ebay or here from OFCers, but for this year the funds available for guitars are near the end. In july I got my Deluxe Balladeer back to life from Mothership and I grant myself a Xmass gift by mid of August ;) (when in Florence I got a non-Ovation dread) so I have to wait for quite a while to buy another git. :( But life is beautiful and never dispare. I've been in Germany many time also in your area. I like Germany too ! Last time was in september 2008 for a big exibition in Berlin.

Enjoy your new guitar(s).Thanks Meuti, I've also bought this weekend a 1614 on ebay Germany. It was the guitarplayer from P. Werner (Kribbeln im Bauch) in the 90th. Not fare from you, in Weinheim-Birkenau. The guitar is extrem dusty, the frets are "played", you can see, but in yery good condition, only some dings and no crackes in the top. Now I'm cleaning and polishing it, then it will be new strung and then....let's go. Bernie

The weather was very fine, it was great. My hometraylor stands in Figline-Valdarno, 30 km south of Florence. It had been very nice to meet you. Have very nice days, and when I find a 1614, I'll let you Know it. Bernie

Next time you get here just let me know ;) .... and thanks for the help in searching for the 1614. Recently 2 or 3 Folklore appears on German-bay. I keep an eye on that every day. BTW Bernie, as the OFCers always say, "this thread is worthless without pics", so you have to post pics of your beauties at the soonest. I'm curious to see the Folklore :) Riccardo

But then, you have a lot of fun with it. My one, I've bought last Thursday, is now ready to play. It looks like new. I've strung it with Thomasik-Infeld-Strings "Classical Precision"- flatwound steel strings for classic-guitars. It sounds full and warm, but not as out of a hole, although bright and clear in the heights. I love that sound. The same string set, I've on my 1713 classical. It sounds a little deeper with its cedar top. That strings are also very easy to play. Now I've told you enough about my one. Let's look for a one for you! Best wishes Bernie
