All that is well and good, but this is still disturbing...

It looks like you could put you finger underneath the Low E string.
And it looks like someone glued the 'tongue' of the fretboard to the top.
This goes to show that you can Destroy an Adamas just like any other Ovation. :p

Yup. If the planet inlays are worth the price of the guitar to you than go for it. But other than that I think the rest of the guitar is for shit. I wouldn't waste my time or money, but that's just me.

Yeah, I figured that might have had something to do with it but I rather expect you knew what I meant notwithstanding your use of an Apple computer.

Leaving those of us with no curiosity behind; I find this guitar interesting from a hisoty standpoint.

Yes it's been mistreated, and it's been hacked.

BUT:

1) I can't find any mention of a blue SMT top on any other model. None of us who had or have Mill-CBs have one that resembles it. Does anyone know about a blue/green SMT top?
2) The neck is "right."
3) the label is "right."
4) the writing on the label is "right."

Beat and mistreated, this could still be a very rare model. It's worth discussing and researching. (If you aren't interested, go eat your cookie.)

We've already uncovered an interesting tidbit about Mill-CB serial numbers - they span a couple of years. That deserves some study as well.

I hope I'm not the only one!

I think SMT tops came in dark grey, dark red, and dark blue

A classic case of why they do neck resets...happens everyday...#189 was that bad or worse....MS had it like new in a few weeks...
