Location: CA | Hi all,
Back again to see if there is any interest in either of my 1778Ts.
The first is a Black rendition of the 1778T, serial #598667. Has an Op-Pro preamp, nice slender neck, and the setup and action is excellent. Guitar itself is flawless — no nicks, dings, cracks or anything wrong. Only 'flaw', if you can call it that, is a missing knobby thing on the equalizer. It still works, just that the knob/button fell off. Comes with a hardshell case that has seen better days, but it still works. Asking $450, which includes shipping.
The second is a Pewter version, serial #577914. This one has the OP-30 preamp, a thicker, Kaman bar neck and it NEEDS a setup. I'm getting buzzing on the high strings on the upper neck. This one has a bonk on the lower bout (see photos) that has cracked the paint. I've looked inside and there is no damage to the wood top or the top-bowl joint. Just the paint. No affect on sound. This one comes with a nice Road Runner gig bag. I'm asking $400 which includes shipping.
I'm looking to sell one or the other, not both. The 'pros' of the black one are that the action is superb and my wife likes the way it looks better. The 'pro' of the pewter is that it's more 'jangly' and resonates more on bass notes. I'd be happy to keep either one.
Probably a bit late to get either of these cross-country from Bakersfield, CA, in time for Christmas, but if you're willing to pay the extra shipping costs, or if you live within driving distance, I'd be happy to work with you to try.
As ever, I have a Mac and haven't figured out how to xfer pics from the NING site over here. If someone could help me out I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, see blackie here: http://ovationfanclub.ning.com/photo/albums/black-1778t

Hope you all have a great holiday. |
