Hello Friends,
I am looking to buy a nice used condition Ovation hardshell case for my 1868 Elite. I would prefer one locally if possible in IN, E. IL, KY, W. OH, or S. MI and would probably travel to pay and pick up. Hopefully a Fan Member can help me out. Thanks to all in advance.
Best- Darrell

Another option for about the same money is to buy a new factory nylon-sided hard internal foam case from Al in a custom-fitted SSB size. I did so about a year or two ago and it is all I use for transporting my SSBs. With its backpack staps, lighter weight, and both internal and external pockets, I love it.

Hello-
Alpep and ProfBB-
Thanks for the replies. I would not be able to make the Columbus, OH show. Thanks for the kind offer to bring one along. By the way is this a hardshell case 8117? or "zero gravity case" (I'm not sure if that's the same case as ProfessorBB is referring to.) Alpep how far are you from Philly or Cape May, NJ? that might be a possibility later this year if I don't find one before. Or what approx. shipping costs would be? I'm only familar with the Ovation HSC. Thanks.
Best- Darrell

Banjo, the one to which I'm referring does not have a molded exterior. It has a hard molded foam core interior similar to the models with the hard plastic exteriors, but it is covered in nylon. I'm not sure of the model number. Here are two photos showing views from both sides . . .

Unless you plan to ship your guitar in the cargo hold of a plane a hardshell case is overkill.

The softside cases are super light, give just as much protection and are easier to travel locally with.

Hello friends-
ProfBB: Nice Case!, NICE BIKE! Thanks.
StephenT: Thanks for the words of advice. Good points.
The case shown in the photos would probably suit my needs. I'll do some checking in local music stores and the net to get an idea on the cost.

Just call Al. That's where this one came from and he has always given me the best prices anywhere.
