Location: Atlanta,Ga. | Finally was able to get to a closet that was blocked with furniture and boxes and found some pretty cool items including a bunch more Ovation literature ,manuals, catalogs, etc. that will be listed soon..But for now here is what i am selling
I have had this guitar for several years and had forgotten about it since it was in the formentioned closet..Its a Levin nylon string guitar built in Sweden with flame maple back and a beautiful burst finish.Guitar has many scuffs and dings but is in good overall condition.Neck and frets are great, guitar sounds good and seems to be built well and of good quality.I think it dates to the 60's..Levin guitars was bought by Martin in 1973.The burst finish and the body shape reminded me of an Ovation ..$200 plus shipping.Has a generic hard shell dred case that fits loosely but will work for shipping.e-mail or call samova@comcast.net or 404 409-6242 Sam

Location: Seoul, Korea | I guess I was a step behind the buyer. Would have loved to buy this one because Levin used to be the guitar brand for nylon stringed guitars while Hagstroem was for the electric ones. Towards the 1960/70s, the famous Swedish luthier Georg Bolin was subcontracted to Levin and made the high end Levins which are fantastic classical Spanish guitars. I own one which he made 30 years ago without the Levin brand; quite sought after since he is no longer of this world. He is most famous, though, for 11-string Alto guitar played by concert guitarist. Again, a pity and congrats to the buyer. |
