Now it's a straight acoustic. It's really in nice shape and sounds great, but could use a refurb. I'd planned to send it back to the Mother Ship, but I've decided to let someone else take on the project. The fretboard has some noticeable wear (first three) and there is a one-inch finish check on the top, extending downward from the bridge near the A-string. Hard to pick up with the camera, but noticeable. Also looks like it could use a new saddle. Other than that, it's solid. One other thing worth mentioning... it does have a "used-to-be-owned-by-a-smoker" smell. When I got it, the smell was overpowering. Used baking soda on the inside of the guitar, and it's much better... but not perfect. Taking into account the work that it needs, I'm pricing this at $300, plus shipping. Happy to answer questions, if I can.

There are a couple more agressive ways of working on the cigarette smell that could be tried, although most that I've read on that has stated it never completely goes away. Like I said ... for that price it leaves quite a bit of room for dealing with the issues.

I was thinking maybe some Lysol spray also, followed up with some Febreeze. / Is the stink your major issue?

They can’t be washed so, to clean them, they put them in a plastic tent with a small ozone generator for a short time. It works. Ozone is an extremely strong oxidant and the concentration needed is minute. The place in Houston is called Starlit Soiree. There are probably places like this in all major cities. BTW, I’ve never tried this. Daniel
