I bought it with every intention of having it rebuilt, but have made other arrangements for a nylon stringer, so it's now superfluous...to me at least. The pictures tell the tale. It will need a new top, possibly a new bridge, and a new pickup. I see no reason why the pre-amp would not be working, but have no way to test it. As far as I can tell, the neck is fine and actually looks quite nice condition-wise. The rosette is salvageable, and the case closes and latches tightly despite obvious corrosion on the hardware. Note that the finish has already been sanded from the top and though the case will need a quick vacuum, the interior is otherwise excellent. To sum up, here's what you get:

A very clean neck. A pretty good vintage case. A possibly good stacked-knob pre-amp A serviceable rosette. A traditional Ovation centerpiece for your kitchen table with lots of character per-installed.
Shipped CONUS for $225. Feel free to ask questions, etc., etc., etc. Might be willing to trade as well, but have no idea for what! | ||

They were there when I got it, and since I always intended a new top and bowl for this one, I didn't think much about them. ;) What are the pencil marks in front of the bridge for? Originally posted by TRboy: The saddle slot (Is that even the right term?) does not have a level bottom. Otherwise it looks OK. It seems to me it would take better skill with a router than mine to level it correctly, but the right guy could probably do it. Why do you say possibly a new bridge?
