Even better, this Elite T is the limited edition model produced exclusively for Sweetwater Music (only 14 exist!). Often described as Ovation’s “Best Bang for the Buck”, the Elite T sounds fantastic and has great aesthetics to match. The understated “stealthy” finish coupled with the Koa epaulet is quite stunning. And, unlike most black guitars, the textured matte finish will not show fingerprint smudges. Originally purchased from John (bauerhillboy) here on this forum, this Elite T is in absolutely superb condition. This guitar has seen very minimal playing time. It was never gigged and always handled with TLC. Furthermore, the guitar is from a smoke free and humidity controlled environment. Overall, I would assess the condition as “like new” and 9.5/10. Unfortunately, I just haven’t found the time to dedicate to guitar playing as planned. So, it’s time to part with this special Ovation and get it in the talented hands of someone who will actually use and enjoy it! The specs are as follows (upgrades over standard USA Elite 2078T in bold): •Year Manufactured: 2008 •Serial No: 619370 USA •Classification: 6 String Acoustic/Electric •Body Type: Deep Contour Lyracord GS •Top: Solid Spruce •Bracing: Quintad •Rosette: Multi Soundhole 11 hole Configuration - Bass Side •Koa 1-Piece Flush Fit Epaulet (normally none) •Ultra Light Textured Black Enamel Finish •OP-Pro Preamp with 3-band EQ and Chromatic Tuner (normally OP30) •Pick-Up: Ovation “Thinline” •Neck: 2-Piece Rock Maple •Scale Length: 25-1/4” •Fretboard: Ebony •Fret Inlay: None •Bridge: Ebony •Nutwidth: 1-11/16” •Machines: Black •Case: 8158-0 Hard Shell Included (Like Deluxe 9158-0 Case!) •Koa Truss Rod Cover (Owner Upgrade and made by MWoody) Asking $600 + shipping (contact me for a S&H quote). Inspection and free local pick-up in the Western PA area can be arranged. The original owner’s manuals, documentation, truss rod wrench and case key will all be included. Don’t miss out on owning this piece of Ovation history that is sadly now gone. Thanks for looking and here are the pics! :) -Paul

I've been contemplating moving mine to fund an 'O' 'itch'. But I couldn't let mine go for your price. Someone needs to snap up this 'un! They won't be disappointed...

I would encourage anyone who does not own a Sweet T to look at this. This guitar was made after my Sweet T, which makes it one of the Last USA T's to roll out the door. This is about the same price that they are charging for a Korean TX without a case. And the epaulet gives it that WOW factor. I take mine out on the sidewalk and people often compliment the guitar. (not so much the player... :p )

But, after posting the ad, it occurred to me that this is a bad time of year to sell a high ticket item. Many folks are either on Summer vacation or saving money to head out of town this coming holiday weekend. While I've experienced "Buyer's remorse" before, think this is a first for regretting something sold. :( Oh well, probably for the best since it just wasn't being played. -Paul

Not just for Ovations either. (I just bought another Draco for $299 with a case) I don't know if it is because of the time of year, or the time of mankind. In hindsight, most of the bidders don't know anything about the rarity of a Sweet T. That was pretty much a "Connoisseur's T" just for us Ovation snobs. :p
