Does anyone know what the circular brass whatchamacallit is on this Breadwinner?

Maybe no more sacriligious than the Breadwinner on Craigslist here where the guy wants $7500 because it's painted with Michael Lockwood artwork, who was married to Lisa Marie Presley. He didn't post a picture. I have no idea why he thinks that would make it attractive.
