I called about 10 ten times at the Ovation customer service to know if I could buy an Ovation decal to put on my old guitar but I wasn't able to join the employees. I also left 2 messages to Mr. Keller and Mr. Budny but I didn't have any feedback yet! Is it normal or should I forget what I want?

What do you think?

This all sounds very normal. They are very nice and helpful, but also VERY busy. Include in your next email that you are a member of the Ovation Fan Club. They will drop everything they are doing and get you that decal. Or...maybe someone reading this has a decal they would give you. John <>{

IF you are overseas you are not calling the right people. the Ovation USA service department is for USA service. the deal that Kaman has with their distributors, JHS in the UK, nakao in japan etc is that they handle all service claims.

If you purchased your guitar new you need to contact the distributor in your area, if you bought it used you can still contact the distributor. I had a customer in the UK that purchased a used guitar from me and it had a problem, he took it to JHS and they were very accomodating.

If you have a specific problem or complaint you can probably reach the overseas sales guys in Bloomfield. I am not positive who will handle your area.

It is my understanding that the usa service center cannot make calls out of the country.

but what the hell do I know? I am just an idiot that sells guitars for a living

Al's right (as usual) In my experience the international distribuors will do their best. I've known the current UK guys help with guitars that were purchased through Rose Morris, who were the original distributors in the UK from the late 60's. If your guitar was bought new the official distributor wherever you are should be your first call. If you bought the guitar used you may need alternative channels, but it generally depends on who you talk to and how you talk to 'em.
