( no one seemed to care) :( I felt guilty even thinkin about buying it, but it just seemed to call me...I bought it for $158.00 and it came with a Crate GX-20 Amp too! Anyways, it arrived today. WOW! I had asked the seller what model it was and all he could offer was that it had a serial # of 167868 ( 1979) He said there was no label. When I opened the case (which was pristine and like-new) I was floored! I picked up the guitar and I heard a thunk!! There was the label free floating in the guitar. It is a 1624 Country Artist and she sounds KILLER!!! It has a finish crack and a small little bump on her surface, but the neck and everything else is amazing. The chrome looks like brand new!!! :) The amp is spotless. I am just SO happy....Then to top that, Dave is sending out the 2079LX this week. :sigh: What more could a woman want? Someone pass me some tissue, Please! Thanks guys, for welcoming me to your little clubhouse.

I know where I was in 79' and it feels good to give this guitar the love it deserves. I am thinking about refinishing her top. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Warning: There's a sign on our little clubhouse - "The He-Man Woman-Haters Club" - but you have to guess the identity of all the widdel waskels. :) Seriously, GAS is a gender-neutral affliction. Stick around and take some of the heat off the rest of us. And never let it be known that you think llamas are cute.

Let's see, same wife for almost 30 years, 2 very well raised daughters, the only other male in the house is a cat. I think pussy-whipped is way more accurate than misogynist. It is odd that there's a way higher percentage of women in the Porsche Club than there are here. Pokey, you could do several us a favor if you could convert our wives over to Ovation fans, but we probably would go broke.
