So, I thought I'd pass this along from the Lowden board:
They are definitely missing the accentuated overtones which I think causes Newtones to often be described as bright. The "Lowden sound" covers for this a bit, but I don't think I would be putting a set on a M@#$%^ any time soon. (Of course, if I were a M@#$%^ fan, I would probably not be looking for overtones anyways.) |
