On the used side they had a 70's something deep non-cut Ultra for $299 and a REALLY nice 1976 Legend A/E 1617 for $699. In addition to the usual collection of celebs, they also had two celeb MANDO's and Celeb double neck and a few of those Koa jobs. The Celeb Koa looks a LOT better than it sounds. They had a NEW, NON FRG 2005 COLLECTOR with case for $765. GREAT DEAL. Other new stuff was a couple of Elite LX, Legend LX, Balladeer LX, Elite-T's, a shallow Balladeer and (get this) an LX (country) ARTIST. It was $1299 with case and was REALLY, REALLY nice. Moody's is the only nylon Ovation I've ever seen or played that was nicer than this one. It won't last long. Dave

Perhaps several GCs decided to see if they could sell them? If I wanted a nylon-string guitar, the Artist LX would be it, it sounds wonderful. Roger

The sound of my Classic is wonderful and I don't expect the same from the CA because of the smaller bowl, spruce top and different bracing. Maybe the prior owner of my Folklore was headed in the right direction when he tried to put nylon strings on it, but I'm leaving the steels on. The exceptions to these moratoriums require all of my legal skills. There was the gift certificate for the Porsche Driving Experience for Christmas with the corollary that if it fell through then I could get a guitar. That fell through after I bought my Valentines, birthday and Father's day guitars. So those guitars are just barely over the Christmas present price, so I may have to count them toward Christmas and Valentines. Birthday's not till April, but maybe I better buy it in advance because we won't have any money after paying taxes in April.

Probably a better sound than my old CA which is on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7395061379 but you'd be better served to get a 1773LX if you don't need the last 2 frets. The sound is much better, almost like your deep bowl classical, but easier to play.

Besides, I promised to bring back the Artist from Tempe that my friend bought and I won't have room for 2. I know it's a lame excuse. The real one is we don't have any money and my wife would kill me. Got an extra room you could let me use for a few months or years?
