As I posted a few days ago, a friend of mine was looking at a guitar that he was told was found floating in the gulf after katrina. I got my first look at it today. It is a 1112-4 in the hard shell case. The case is in very good shape. You can tell the inside has been wet because the lining is somewhat hard feeling. The guitar inself has a crack from the bridge to the bottom of the guitar that looks like it has been there for a while. The top may be sinking in a bit between the saddle and the soundhole. The neck looks good, but it only has three strings on it. I'm going to pick up a set tonight and restring it. The top obviously has some issues and I don't know what further damage will show up. I have a chance to buy this guitar cheap, what do you guys think? By the way, as I posted earlier, if I get the guitar I would return it if the owner could be found.

If your wife doesn't think you already have too many guitars, go ahead. If she does, go ahead anyway.

Are you licensed to practice in Michigan? I took your advice and I may be needing some, uh, representation. ;)

EDIT: Maybe I should've said, 'have you been admitted to the bar in Michigan.' But, on second (third?) thought, perhaps that's not the right phrase, either.

Sorry, don't do divorces. And don't take my advice on marriage. If you haven't already married someone who is extremely forgiving, I can't help you. At least that's the only reason I can think of that explains why I'm still married.
