Location: ms | As I posted a few days ago, a friend of mine was looking at a guitar that he was told was found floating in the gulf after katrina. I got my first look at it today. It is a 1112-4 in the hard shell case. The case is in very good shape. You can tell the inside has been wet because the lining is somewhat hard feeling. The guitar inself has a crack from the bridge to the bottom of the guitar that looks like it has been there for a while. The top may be sinking in a bit between the saddle and the soundhole. The neck looks good, but it only has three strings on it. I'm going to pick up a set tonight and restring it. The top obviously has some issues and I don't know what further damage will show up. I have a chance to buy this guitar cheap, what do you guys think? By the way, as I posted earlier, if I get the guitar I would return it if the owner could be found. |

EDIT: Maybe I should've said, 'have you been admitted to the bar in Michigan.' But, on second (third?) thought, perhaps that's not the right phrase, either. |
