Hi,
I believe I got my hands on an Ovation 1117 Legend, however im not completely sure.
I was playing the other day and picked up the guitar from my lap through the hole and half of the rosette came unglued. I tried using a super glue to get it back down but it didnt work and I got glue on the finish.
Now im going into the shop to fix it up and I've got two questions.
1) What kind of laquer should I use to repair the finish (and do i have to strip the whole thing down or can i just patch it up)
2) what polymer would best glue down a new rosette?
please email me as i need this info ASAP. thanks!

Get some Super Glue remover for the finish work. Use some 2-part epoxy for the rosette.
Good luck.

it's unlikely you will be able to match the repair to the rest of the top wthout taking the whole finish down.

is it worth is It is the question you need to ask yourself.

I headed seesquare's advice and used 2-part epoxy to glue down the rosette of my Custom Legend. It worked out perfect! Thanks.

Or you could ship it back to Kim at the Mothership & have it fixed like new.

It depends on the brand name Mike, but generally it says something about "de-bonder" in it somewhere. That guy was pretty brave wasn't he? :)
