Samova just posted pics of his Ovation slothead and some of his Martins. Great post Sam!

I definitely agree with moody and richardd. While I will agree that we often have/had our fair share of bashing the "lower-caste" Celebrity and Applause models in this forum, but I still have yet to see an OFCer bash the character of the person who owns them. Unfortunately, I've had to experience that at the "other" forum, given the Ms that I owned, prior to my HD-28.

I happen to like both Ovations and Martins. In my experience with Martins, I've played some that sounds heavenly, and I also had my fair share that sounded like krap (and I'm saying that with a "k"). In search of my HD-28, I traveled to seven different shops until I found the one that bonded with me.

As for my one and only Ovation, I went to only one shop and was immediately happy with it that I brought her home on the same day. I like the consistency of sound that they deliver -- guitar after guitar. If money, home space and alibis with the wife is not an object, I'd definitely acquire more Os!

I just read Samova's post in the forum with his Adamas and Martins ... way to go! :)

That posting over at the other forum REALLY annoys me  ! Many people who complain about this guitar and that guitar not sounding a certain way or not worth a certain dollar amount is pure bull$hit! Not enough bottom end in your chords? Try moving your picking hand toward the center of the guitar. Not loud enough for ya? Strum the damn thing harder! Bottom line is to the audience, no matter which guitar is being played, its the musician that gets the applause, NOT the guitar. For someone on that board to imply that money was wasted on an early slothead was just plain ignorant.Thank god not all M@%t!n people are that way. {rant over)......

Nah ... a clear one will be ideal, so as not to obscure the beautifully designed top. :p

This is really going to be unfair, since I detect no concern here for the lefty player, who will get "left out" in the cold on the OFC guitar club...

I just want to point out for other who may be similarly confused by the title of this topic, that the OFC guitar will *not* be packed full of hash. Corned beef or otherwise.

Thanks, Al, for clearing that up. And simultaneously ruining my day.

(I keed, I keed!)
