To anyone who buys a blue one, if you don't like it, I'll trade you my red O straight across.

I believe at factory tour we heard that the #47 reissue would be limited to 47 made.
sound wise, the original #47 rings like a bell. maybe because it is very light in weight, at least to me. I like that it is an acoustic only, But I am happy that the OFC reissue will have electronics aboard and in blue. Either one would be ok with me...maybe i'm just in a good mood though. peace mike

The guitar is speced out.

buy it or not.

Since the "bourgeoisie" have already decided what's best for us, when will we poor "proletarian" workers find out the OFFICAL specs? Color, price, blah blah blah. . .?

Please don't stone me. . . at least not until you have my money.

and will #47 be limited to 47 as it was rumored by an unnamed OFC member?

I heard right from Al's mouth that they would make them to fill orders for them...no 47 limit

That might have changed in the last 4 months, however.

Are there pictures in the photo gallery of an original -8 vs. a new -8?

here's a couple of pics of the newer -8 finish...other guitars are -7.

the newer -8 finish is beautiful but if, as some of the OFC, you had several of the original (lighter) -8, you might want the OFC guitar to match.

I like the -7's :p

One of the two "2 knobber" AD I's (on the left) is rated 101. Others are rated 93.

Does the higher number really mean anything in terms of tone, volume, etc? Or higher numbers preferrable to lower ones?

the 101 v. the 93's has a slightly different voice...to me, not necessarily better.

for me, it seems that I play the 101 more.

from what I have seen, seems most were rated 88-93. from what others have said, can't be too many at 101.

AND helps justify having at least one of each :p
