My boss asked me to stop talking to the 'analysts' because he was tired of their boss showing up in his office to talk about how I treat them (the analysts).

I guess expecting people to do their job is no longer PC.

Seems like around my office over the last ten years, bosses have simply stopped expecting people to do their jobs.

That is, of course, except for my boss...

But enough about us. I see WSL has had the time/resources to change the entry page. Nice look!

I just went there and it looks the same as it has since the beginning. What is different for you?

Instead of an animated orange/yellow WL logo that unfolds from itself, I now get a handsome studly man on the right of the page with a National tricone (I think) strapped to his back, and six verticle bars on the left, over the top of some guy making John Mayer faces while wanking on a Strat.

That's not what used to be there when I went to that page. Is that what you see?

Hmmmmm....

Once again a stange anomoly between Internet Explorer and Firefox. Using Firefox, I still get the unfolding WL logo but when I use IE, I get the new screen that you talked about.

Reminds me of when the guy posted his guitar for sale and some of us saw the guitar while others saw family photos..

The chord maker also works fine for me with IE but will not load up properly with Firefox.

Any of you Firefox experts know why this happens? Is it my settings?

Guess I will try it again.

Does chord finder work for you?

Again, works fine in IE for me but not Firefox.

Also, when you log in and the dude in the blue shirt starts talking, does hitting the skip button actually work for you?

For me, he just keeps on yammering.

Chord finder gives me the Crockwave logo with an empty progress bar. I've re-downloaded and re-installed Crockwave from the Macromedia site as opposed to letting Firefox handle the install (which is how I got it the first time). Same problem, and on two different machines.

As a side note, the site is heavily Flashified and Shockwaved, so one would think that there would be virtually zero...ok, actually zero rendering issues between browsers and OSes. After all, that's one of their claims to fame. This doesn't appear to be the case.

The skip button does work for me, but this is one of those wry, ironic things I actually find humorous...whenever I log in, the dude starts talking, but as the whole thing loads he starts stammering and...skipping. HAHAHAHAHA. That's when I hit the skip button. I know, it's stupid. But, it makes me laugh.

Have you all cleared your browser's cache? Maybe those viewing the old logo haven't cleared the cache.

WOW!!!! C#7 !!!!! Doesn't this man know that anyone from the OFC pictured with a guitar HAS to be playing a D chord (invariably incorrectly)? Let's kick him out. No musicians here, thank you very much. (With apologies to Serge).
And the guitar doesn't have a roundback. And he appears to have paid cash for it. How did he get in in the first place?

That's an interesting looking National. Is the color due to patina? Brass? Love the shirt. ;)

Schroeder: I know all the chords, E, G and Potsy.

The National's got a cool finish. It's electroplated and has almost like a "galvanized" pattern to it (only on a much larger scale), and the plating has that green-ish color to it . . .

I'm assuming it's something "new" t'National
(VERY nice folks, btw).

Matt, we need to coordinate this shirt thing better, didn't mean to get in the way.

I also ordered a tricone cutaway, curley maple neck, MOTS slotted head, and gold paint, the one shown here is greenish. (Sorry Cliff, this is paint.) They used to paint them like this in the 30's and lost the formula over the years to make the paint chrystalize like this. It has very recently been "rediscovered".

Yes that was my old style 4.

these backs are slightly rounded and I will learn a demented D chord for photo use. I was showing Moody the C7 when Cliff took the picture. Paul does know more than 3 chords too!

Now back to Workshoplive, I have raised this again with the folks in Pittsfield and asked that they read this to help get the problems sorted out. I've been reassured that they're working on it. Knowing them, this is the truth and not a corporate responce.
