...has someone heard the CD "Unique Voices", 40 Years of Innovation - Ovation USA ??? This CD is a giveaway from the german guitar and bass magazine "Gitarre&Bass", added to the April edition. On this CD you will find great videos from Steve Lukather (together with Glen Campbell), Kaki King, Al di Meola, Melissa Etheridge and some others.
They say that it is only available in Germany and you can only get it when you buy this magazine.
It's a very special giveaway and I think that it will be very interesting for all Ovation-Fans. For contact, here is the email-adress of the magazine: red@gitarreundbass.de , website: www.gitarreundbass.de . If this magazine is available in the states, buy it !!!!!!
Best wishes from Germany !!! helmut-pl

I think quite a number of OFC members have these. They were given away at the 40th anniversary event at NAMM in January. It's a nice collectable. Dave

I still want Bill to tell me if that's his 99 Collector's that he's holding or if somebody gave it to him because they thought it was so photogenic. (Not that Bill isn't.)

...well, I didn't know that this CD was also a giveaway in the states. Here in Germany it looked like a teamwork from Ovation and "Gitarre & Bass", the most sold german guitar magazine. But there is surely a differance between the two issues: you will find a blues workshop in german language on it and the printing on the CD is ...presented by 'Gitarre&Bass'.
Best wishes from Germany helmut-pl

I put a copy in the wooden roundback case. Just get on the tour and copy it, or have someone else copy it if you're too old to figure out how to do that.

Story A: It was just a guitar off one of the racks out there that happened to be in tune.

Story B: It was sound tested against all the others and won.

Story C: It was camera tested and looked the best.

Story D: It was the only one with a narrow neck and they refused to let me play a comfortable wide neck guitar for the shoot.

and the correct answer is.........?

I figure it must be C. You didn't play enough for anyone to care if it was in tune or if it was comfortable for you to play.

Ask Hasselburgler or Rick Hall, they're the ones who handed it to me. They may have put extra thought into it but I still gotta go with random choice.

As an owner of a 99 Collector's, I should have just gone with my theory that it was the best looking guitar available, so forget I asked. I'm sure you were the best looking guy available and that's why they picked you. I was sure it wasn't for the teleprompter reading skills.
