I was going to blame the D'add pro arte strings, but it's clearly an inferior instrument problem. Jeff, you even called it a "POS" in your first post. You should just send it away and try to forget about it. If it were a new Adamas, it would have had a lifetime warranty which you would have never needed .... :D :p :D :p Needless to say the initial shock has worn off and after we all got done crying for you and playing "our loved ones", we're ready to let you have it. | ||

I'm not completely convinced it was a result of lack of moisture. It's not showing other obvious signs of being excessively dry... but, for now, that's the working hypothesis. Dizzy, I appreciate your sensitivity. My crack ain't pretty, but it still works perfectly and sounds beautiful. We'll give it some first aid for a while to see what happens.
